REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial

15 November 2014

REN's newest release is the Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial (£32). A facial in one minute I hear you say? That is definitely something that appeals to the busy folk. REN say... "A transforming treatment that instantly revitalizes and visibly rejuvenates the skin. Formulated with potent water-activated Vitamin C it will neutralize urban grey in a flash, leaving skin looking firm, toned and smoothed, while reducing the signs of fatigue, photo-ageing and skin imperfections. Skin instantly glows with renewed
health and radiance."

Flash Rinse contains Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), which stimulates collagen synthesis, evens out skin tone, and adds radiance. Boswellic Acid, which originates from Boswellia Serrata Bark, relaxes microcontractions of facial tissue to smooth out fine lines. Finally Glycogen Magnesium, which comes from Marine Glucose Mineral, boosts skin energy, and again adds radiance. Very scientific. As always, there are no parabens or sulfates etc.

I was apprehensive using this when I had pretty dry skin one day, but was pleasantly surprised by the results. It definitely brightens and refines the skin. REN recommends using this every 3 days, so I tend to use this at the weekend and midweek to give my skin a boost. It smells pretty similar to The Sanctuary Exfoliating Scrub, but has finer exfoliators and isn't so gel like. This is a super quick treatment. Simply apply to your face, rub in a little to set the exfoliants to work, then splash a little water over your face to activate the vitamin C. I find even if you wet your hands to add a little water, it still manages to take off most of the product. I'm considering trying a water spray to add that little bit of water.

I find this treatment leaves my skin feeling super smooth, if a little dehydrated. so I follow it with a nourishing moisturiser, such as the REN Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream. I've also seen on the website the Vita Mineral™ Emollient Rescue Cream, which looks fab for the cooler weather. A rich barrier all weather cream designed to replenish and nourish the skin. I do like this product, as it leaves my skin baby soft, but it does dehydrate it and it's pretty expensive. Can I live without it? Only time will tell!

  1. I tried a REN product a while back and really liked it, it's just a tad on the expensive side. Side note I loved how detailed this review was, very interesting!
