It's favourites time again, time to share all of the products from the past month. Starting off with the most exciting, the makeup... I bought a few luxe makeup items at the start of February, and my fave out of the bunch has to be the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette. I wanted this for so long, and it was no disappointment. The colours are beautiful and can be used day or night, so this is such a useful palette! I also managed to snap up a Tarte Amazonian Clay 24h Blush in a blog sale, in the shade True Love. This is a beautiful deep pink that looks gorgeous on the skin, and is pretty foolproof (which I NEED!).
I've fallen slap bang back in love with the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets after I bought a few more shades. They're so long lasting and give serious pigmentation. One of the best offerings from the drugstore. Pictured here are Hot Pepper and Nude-ist, which are equally as gorgeous as each other!
Finally on the makeup front, it has to be Benefit Roller Lash, which I reviewed in full here. Every new release from the San Fran brand comes with a whole lotta hype, and Roller Lash was no exception. This time, it wasn't just a freebie to blogger royalty, it was available to the masses via Elle magazine. Mazzy-wise, it's curl-alicious with it's fancy 1950s housewife-inspired roller wand, and almost rivals They're Real!
There's one perfume I've exclusively worn thought February, and it's Tom Ford Velvet Orchid. It just feels so luxe and glamorous, that I can't help but spritz it every time I leave the house.
Onto skincare, the number one product I fell hard and fast for this month was my very first Oskia purchase, the Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I've been using this in the mornings when I've used the Alpha-H liquid gold as a boost of hydration, and also as my evening cleanse on no-makeup days. It smells beautiful, feels so nourishing, and is so gentle on the skin.
Also on the skincare front is a new discovery. I've been loving Korean Sheet Masks lately as they feel so cooling and make my skin feel incredible. There's a post coming very soon so I won't say too much now. I've had the Garnier Micellar Water for well over a year but it's never really wowed me. I've been using it loads this month, it's a blogging essential if you're swatching or doing different makeup looks for a post!
I've got two final favourites this month, and the first is my new hair! I got it cut from it's super long state to shoulder length a couple of weeks ago and I love it! It's just so much easier to style and products seem to work so much better. I also really embraced reverse washing this month and it has truly changed my life! I'd been so miserable about my hair, but it has made it feel soft and clean again!
I hope you've enjoyed my (rather late) February favourites!
The Bourjois Lip Velvets are amazing! I have almost all the colors and love using them when I know I won't be able to touch up often :)
ReplyDeleteThey're so good aren't they! What's your fave shade?
ReplyDeleteLoves! Kirstie Xx.
I'm loving Happy Nude Year right now but my only gripe is that its too bright to be a nude xD
ReplyDeleteI feel like I know the one you mean! I've recently broadened my mind when it comes to nudes, I used to think it was just pale neutrals that were classed as a nude lip but maaan I was wrong!
ReplyDeleteLoves! Kirstie
Yes, I can see that. Nude doesn't have to equal zombie xD It's just that the tube looks more subdued dusty pink but on my lips, it becomes a bright coral O-o Not what I expected but the color has grown on me :)
ReplyDeleteWow that's a bit cray-Z! Reminds me of a Rimmel chubby stick that went on nude but turned coral as it wore off. That's the stuff of beauty nightmares! Haha
ReplyDeleteLoves! Kirstie
Oh geez that's definitely a beauty nightmare >.< I had some Revlon Just Kissable Balm stains in Honey and Darling that are neutral at first and became a bright fuchsia stain as the day wore on >.>
ReplyDeleteI'll stay clear of those then!! I kept wearing it on a night out, looking in the mirror in the morning thinking I must have used a friends lipstick when I was out haha, took me forever to realise what it was!
ReplyDeleteDolce Vita is soooooooooo beautiful! The packaging, the shades, the texture, everything! I'm still holding off because I know I don't need another palette, but its so irresistible! Great post :) xx

Thanks Hannah! Im so happy I got it! You know there's no such thing as too many palettes ;)

Oh that's the worse! Glad to help xD
ReplyDeleteI've always heard great things about tarte's blushes! but i rarely ever use blush because I have such large pores that using blush only makes it worse =(
ReplyDeleteOh no!! That's a shame! :( they are pretty though!
