Top 10 Yankee Candle Scents of 2014 (Part 2)

This is a follow on from the first post, that sees numbers 10-6 of my favourite Yankee Candles of this year. This post shows you numbers 5-1. Beach Flowers is a very similar scent to Pink Hibiscus. A floral blend, where I can detect rose, and watery notes give it a salty lift.

I never thought I'd like Vanilla Cupcake. I'd been completely off gourmand scents but I'd been looking for a great vanilla scent. I thought Vanilla Satin would be the one but I picked this up on a whim. I actually found Vanilla Satin a bit too heavy and cloying and ended up loving Vanilla Cupcake! It smells so yummy, a sweet vanilla scent.

I just adore Sun & Sand. It was the first Yankee Candle I lit and fit the bill as a gorgeous, posh background scent. It mixes lavender, orange and musk for a beachy scent. Rumour has it, It's a dead ringer for Bobbi Brown BEACH, So I'm definitely going to have to pick some of that up. It's also apparently exactly like Coppertone sun cream, but we don't get that in the UK. Despite it smelling like suntan lotion, I love it so much I'd burn it all year round. It has sadly been discontinued in the UK, so I'm desperate for a jar! The Jar Tarts are still available however, so I need to pick up a few of those to tie me over. 

I bought a small tumbler of Wild Passion Fruit for my mother a few years ago, and we've only just started burning it this season. It is a really fruity scent, but it is far from sweet with the inclusion of peppery notes. A great one for summer.

I enjoyed burning my Pink Hibiscus sampler, and it had a great throw for a votive. It is a heady, sparky floral scent that is girlie, romantic but has a modern twist to the classic rose scent. I adore rose, so I love that I can smell a hint of it. I definitely think this is a complex scent and will continue to burn it throughout 2014. I upgraded my votive for a small jar, which is pretty rare for me so really says a lot!

I hope you've enjoyed my countdown of top Yankee Candle scents as it is definitely one of my passions. For 2015 I'm looking forward to trying the new Q1 scents: Shea Butter, Red Raspberry, Pink Grapefruit, Cassis and Aloe Water as well as the Grand Bazaar collection of Moroccan Argan Oil, Oud Oasis and Frankincense. As for existing/retired scents, I want to try Autumn Leaves, Lavender Vanilla, Cherries On Snow and Island Spa.
