CoLab Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo

10 April 2015

I really enjoyed CoLab's Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoos, created by none other than A Model Recommends babe Ruth Crilly. I reviewed them when they launched last year so when I saw they had released an Extreme Volume version (£4.49), I was eager to pick one up as my stash of dry shampoos were slowly making their way into my empties tub. I grabbed the New York scent, which was one of my favourites from my previous haul.

My first impressions? They definitely didn't make this product sheer invisible! It baffled me why they didn't stick to this, as it was essentially their unique selling point. I also found this dry shampoo to be really hard to work into the hair, and made it very knotty. However it did give me a model-chic messy look, and as long as no one touched my hair, it would be fine!

I slowly learned to use this not as a dry shampoo (I will be sticking to the original CoLab ones for that), but more as a dry texturising spray. While it hasn't replaced my Charles Worthington Volume Spray, I do use it to add a bit of texture to the roots, albeit sparingly. It does give a dusty look, so you have to really work it in, but the volume and bounce it provides is like no other, especially when you brush it out. Big high five for the gorgeous packaging too! Whilst I'm not an absolute convert to the CoLab Extreme Volume Dry Shampoos (sorry Ruth!), I'm happy I tried them, especially as they were on offer.
