Winter Glow is the first of our scents, and is described as "A crisp scent of frosted leaves on snow-covered trees in the cool air, all warmed by golden amber sun rays.". I remember really liking this one on cold sniff in store. I decided to pick up tarts instead of votives this time, as I felt like it would be more of a lighter scent. When burning, this came across clean and fresh, in a similar way to Fluffy Towels. If you remember popular Christmas scent Snow In Love (and one I dislike), this is similar to this without the musky notes. Despite this comparison, I actually really love Winter Glow, and have been excited to burn this over the last few weeks.
Cosy By The Fire is a warm mix of ginger, clove and orange, with woody notes. This has been created with the idea of a crackling fire and a hot spicy drink in mind. I loved scents like Spiced Orange and Red Apple Wreath last year, so it seemed only natural that Cosy By The Fire was my favourite out of the bunch on cold sniff. The scent has real depth, and a notable warm, woodiness about it. The spice isn't overpowering, and I find that the dominant scent is the orange. This later transcends into more of a piney note. The citrus is a bit of a downside for me, but the more I burn Cosy By The Fire, the more I enjoy it. I like that it is warm and cosy but not necessarily Christmas specific. It would make a good evening lounge scent for Autumn winter, when you're snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket, watching a movie and drinking hot chocolate. Or mulled wine. Or just any wine...

Bundle Up is "A clean, wintry scent that brings back frosty days and cosy warm clothing". This scent combines citrus, with warm amber notes and fresh linen. This again reminds me of Snow In Love. I kind of don't really get why it's green. After burning for a while, a creamy note emerges. I feel like this is a more mature scent, like something a friend's mum would burn to make the house smell posh and clean. After about an hour I started to get inscencey notes. In short, this reminds me of warm woollen jumpers fresh from the dryer, and would make a good neutral scent for the living room. However it was far from my favourite as there was a note in there that I didn't enjoy.
Berry Trifle is described as being a blend of fresh berries with soft vanilla cream. I've never been the hugest fan of Yankee's red berry scents (Berrylicious however, I loved!) as I think they smell more of rhubarb than strawberry. This has a bit of a rhubarby hint, yet the longer you burn, the more the creamy notes begin to come out. This is a pleasant scent but not necessarily one I'll be jumping off the cliffs for, and I don't find it particularly Christmassy either.
In my opinion this is a mismatched collection from Yankee Candle. We have two laundry type scents, and then a berry one, neither of which I'd really associate with winter and christmas. The only one that is distinctly wintery is Cosy by the Fire. However I commend them for breaking away from the stereotypical spice and pine scents, and trying to come up with something completely new. My favourite out of the collection is Cosy By The Fire, with Winter Glow close behind and my least favourite being Bundle Up.
