One of my favourite things to do besides blogging is creating imagery for other bloggers. It is something I do on the regular, meeting various blogger friends monthly for a day of shooting and catching up on all things blogging. One thing we've discussed quite a bit is one day being in the position to make the set-up a little more indulgent - instead of shivering in the cold and changing in the toilets, we'd have a plush hotel, complete with makeup artists and hairdressers on hand to make my models look all the more beautiful. We can at least dream! When we do get to that point, luckily we'll have Bidvine on hand (or rather, on our phones!) to help us find our perfect glam squad!
Bidvine is a website and app that allows you to easily find and compare services in your local area. There are over 600 services in the UK with everything from coaching, counselling and exercise, to home improvements, repairs and even accounting services and photography (great for bloggers looking to take the next step!). Just a quick click on the Events category reveals a crazy amount of service categories - it'd be great if you were planning an event or wedding and didn't know where to start! Simply select the category of service, and then Bidvine asks a few questions to help match you with the perfect service. The job requests are then sent out straight away to the trusted local professionals who can potentially fulfil your requirements. Any who match will then get back to you within 4 days with a bid, and you can then contact them either directly through Bidvine or privately via email or phone.
I chose to use the app, and found it so straightforward to use. I was looking for event hair & makeup artists, so I just typed in beauty and it was one of the first options. The app then simply navigates you straight through the questions, firstly asking where I'm located, and prompting to enter a postcode, but you can also use the GPS on your phone for this. Next, it asks "what kind of event is this service for?", with a ton of options including weddings, engagements, proms, birthday parties and photo shoots, of which I chose the latter. Throughout, there's also a blank option to fill out if you don't see the exact option you need. It then asked how many clients and their ages, as well as the services you require, giving you the choice of hair, makeup or both, and any extra services, like lashes, hair extensions and tattoo covering. Then, it goes into specifics of what you want, like the length of the hair, and type of makeup look, and finally, it asks whether you want the professional to come to you, or you'd be happy to travel, and finally the flexibility of the date.

Overall, both the Bidvine website and the app were really quick and easy to use. I've looked online for similar services in the past and found it quite overwhelming and confusing. Often with these smaller businesses, they don't always have the most accomplished of websites, so it's great to have it all in one place. I'd definitely recommend Bidvine to anyone that wants to compare different services - it reminds me a lot of those comparison insurance sites where you can view everything on the same site - without having to trawl through a ton of local sites. It offers a personal approach, having the professionals responding to your requests, as well as the star ratings and reviews for quality control. It's something I'd definitely consider using in the future for things like finding a photographer, personal trainer or even home improvements.
