Hey gang! I wanted to sit down and write a quick and casual post about some of the things I've been loving this week. Think of it as a mini lifestyle favourites post, or a weekly vlog but in written form (kinda). I love watching weekly vlogs, as I'm so nosey that I love seeing what people get up to. I don't always have a ton of fun stuff to do to pad out a weekly vlog (although I'd really like to do them in the future), so I'm going to stick to a quick post on here every now and again It's a bit of a ramble of what I've done, bits and bobs I've been loving, and some of the things I've been loving! a quick and chatty post, like you're sitting down for a cuppa and a catch-up with an old friend.
What I Did This Week...
On Monday, I met up with Emmie (and Lianne briefly!) for a cheeky little theatre trip, and cheeky indeed! We went to watch The Full Monty at DeMontfort Hall, and it had some well-known faces (and bums) in it too, including Gary Lucy and Chris Fountain, who played Justin in Hollyoaks. I've been a Hollyoaks fan for years, so this pleased me greatly, and my inner fangirl couldn't cope! I'll link up Em's review here if you want to read more about it, I'd highly recommend catching their UK tour! We also popped into The Queen of Bradgate, which is fast becoming our fave spot for a bit of pub grub, and Gelato Village, which never disappoints. I was very chuffed to see my all-time fave Hazelnut gelato back on the menu too!
On Thursday, I headed back into town for the Lush #SpringIntoLeicester Launch event. I met up with gal pals Izzy and Tiff beforehand for a catch-up, Wagamamas and a quick pit-stop in gin bar 45 West, which surprisingly I'd never been to, despite being a massive gin lover! I had the Citronella Sling, which was a refreshing, yet creamy mix of Kaffir Lime Infused Burleighs gin, Coconut Cream and Lemongrass and Ginger Syrup. I would've taken a pic of it, but the lighting was so dim. Gives me a great excuse to go back and get another though ayyy! Heading over to Lush, it was packed as usual, and we were warmly greeted by their always enthusiastic staff. There are some fab products in the Easter range, which I'll be talking about in a post very soon!
On Saturday, I met up with Emmie again and we were joined by the absolute babe Victoria. We started off by having lunch at The Exchange, which I'd been wanting to try for such a long time, and I was so impressed by how affordable it was, I'll definitely be back for the pizzas! Then we went off to take some photos for Em's upcoming blog post, and it was hilarious, we sure took some absolute gems! We ended the day back in the Queen of Bradgate (twice in one week I know!) to watch England's victory against Scotland in the rugby!
Everything I'm lusting after this week is interior-related as I've been rather pre-occupied renovating my bedroom the last few days. I've put in a desk, so it's really nice to have a proper workspace to blog on, but there's definitely quite a few bits I'm still looking out for. I really want to put in a large full-length mirror to bounce the light around my small, dark room, and also because I'd like to do some fashion-related videos, like What I Wore and Try-On Hauls too. I've also been looking out for the perfect desk chair, I really want something with a white hue, as I have a black one as a temporary measure but it looks really out of place with my soft pink walls and white furniture. The only other thing that I'm looking out for is a rug. I have a navy carpet which I hate, but I'm not going to change it right now, so I want to get a nice rug to break up the dark colour. I really want to get one of the white fluffy rugs, but I've had one of the Ikea ones before and it got so grubby and gross really quickly, so I don't think they're the best long-term option.

New-in This Week...
I picked up one of the new L'Oreal Colorista Washable Hair Colours in the Burgundy shade, as well as the new Fleur de Force Eylure brow products, which I'm very much looking forward to trying. I also kindly got sent the PMD Personal Microderm device, which I used for the first time yesterday and I'm already impressed with! Also landing on my desk this week were some lashes from Falseeyelashes.co.uk, as well as the new Perfume Society Modern Classics Discovery Box, so you can expect to see those on the blog and on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks! I've also got some exciting posts and giveaways coming up very soon too!
