August Beauty Favourites

La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo + (£15.50)

By now, every blogger and her dog will have heard of the much hyped Effeclar Duo +. It's a product that I was dying to try after reading rave reviews, and it does not disappoint. It promises to be anti-blemish, and to reduce appearance of scars, but what I really love is the gel-like consistency, fresh smell and cooling feel. It is a very light moisturiser that really seems to suit my skin.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream (£9.99 for 25ml)

This is a silicone based primer, and most definitely a decent dupe for the Benefit Porefessional. I got this for holiday as I didn't want to be using up my Benefit one, and I really liked it. I found it performed just as well, for under half the price. It has a slightly different, moussy texture, and a bit of a narrow nozzle, which makes the product spurt out everywhere once in a while, but that I can deal with.

NYC Beautifying Blushable Cream Stick in Soho Pink (£2.49)

This is the most gorgeous dusky pink shade in an easy-to-apply cream stick. I saw the blush recommended on Amelia Liana's blog, and naturally I jumped in excitement when I saw it on offer in Superdrug. It leaves a really natural flush on your cheeks, and is so simple to apply! I actually really rate NYC as a brand, and am looking forward to trying more products.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (£8.99)

I adore this face brush for foundation. It's super soft, but it's dense bristles make for a flawless application of your base. I found I can get away with only a tiny amount of foundation using this brush, which is definitely money-saving, and I love the natural finish.

Simple Revitalising Eye Gel (£4.99)

I've been loving this cooling eye gel this summer. I apply it all over my undereye area, lid and brow bone before my eye cream for a wake-me-up. I'm not sure how good it is for your skin, but it does contain cucumber and vitamins, which claim to de-puff. Personally, I like its soothing metal ball, and that it's gently enough for around the eye.

Debenhams Perfume Atomiser (£10)

I can't quite remember what brand this is, but i think it's really pretty. It is easy to fill, which I love, as I've never had an atomiser before. At the moment I have Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! in it, and it is great for travelling.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot (£12)

This is a very recent purchase, and I love how lightweight and finely milled this powder is. Of course there is only so much you can say about a pressed powder, but all I can say is that it gives a gorgeous matte finish and sets my base for a good few hours!

Do you own anything from my favourites?
