Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette

8 November 2014

I was eager to try the Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette ever since I'd seen Amelia Liana rave about so I searched for it every time I went into a Superdrug or Boots. To my annoyance, it was always sold out but I managed to eventually get my hands on it, and have been road testing it for a few weeks.

For the bargain price of £3.19, Collection brings you six eyeshadow shades, in a great selection of colours. There is a real mix of warm and cool tones, so there will be something to suit any skin tone. I like how they have thought to include all the shades you would need to create a complete look with this palette. For that reason, it is my top pick for travelling if you only want to take along one product. Packaging wise, it is housed in a cardboard casing. Whilst I've not had any problems with it, it probably isn't the most sturdy, and doesn't look that luxe. It is however, super lightweight, so again fab for your travel makeup kit.

L-R Feather, Sunkissed, Golden Sand, Dazzling Brown, Cocoa Dream and Blackbird.

The quality of the shadows really is great for the price. They are really pigmented, and blend really well. The finish of them is a bit of a mix. There are some shimmers, some less shimmery satin shades and the black is a matte. You've got Feather, your highlight there, Sunkissed, Golden Sand and Dazzling Brown as your lid shades, and Cocoa Dream and Blackbird for the crease. The black you can also use as a liner with a wet slanted brush.Whilst I found Sunkissed and Golden Sand a little to warm toned, I really enjoyed using Dazzling Brown, and it is the standout shade of the palette for me. It is a medium brown/taupey shadow, with gold-toned shimmer. It is super-pigmented, buttery and a great one-wash lid shade.

One disappointment, as always is the naffness that is the foam applicator, which did get tossed ASAP. I think they could have included a tiny brush and still kept the price point below a fiver. On the whole this is a great little drugstore nude palette, and one that I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of.

  2. Really nice palatte, I wish they'd just get rid of all applicators and make it cheaper, I'd always much rather use my own brushes, suppose a lot of yong girls will buy this one though :/
