It's my favourite time of the month, Favourites time! March has felt like a long old month, but things are looking up as the days have been getting lighter and brighter. For a blogger, that means only one thing: more hours of daylight to take photos! I feel like I've been quite frugal this month, but let's see...
Skincare first, as there have been a few products that have firmly worked their way into my routine this month. First up is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm. This was a product I'd been itching to try for quite some time, and was lucky enough to grab a sample when I was in Space NK. I made this teeny weeny sample last about two weeks, and after using it, couldn't bear to go back to the Body Shop one! I purchased the 50ml size, and am still using it most evenings. I love how soft it makes my skin, and removes every last scrap of makeup.
Another skincare item I've been loving is the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream. I'm currently still using a sample I got from the Origins counter, and I'm loving it! It has brightening pigments that really make a difference to my dark circles.
I got the REN Glycolactic Mask in the February Birchbox, and ignored it for a bit. However I've started to use it again, and I love it's honey-lemon scent and the way it seriously brightens my skin. Last on the skincare front is a facial oil from a natural brand, Nature's Chemist. I was recommended the Moisturiser For Oily Skin* and I am 100% embracing the oil! I love the relaxing scent, and it makes my skin super soft without feeling heavy.
On to makeup now, and a great foundation is definitely hard to come by. Enter the L'Oréal Infallible Matte 24h Foundation and you have the perfect base for me. Lightweight yet buildable coverage, a perfect colour match, super matte whilst there being no cakiness in the house... The list just goes on! I've been wearing this all month and I've got no intentions of stopping!
A product I've been pairing with the above foundation quite a lot this month is the Topshop All Over Glow in Ignite. This is similar to Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow, and the Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid, and I've been mixing it with my foundation, or even sandwiching it between my primer and base layer. Have I jumped on the dewy skin bandwagon? I sure have!
I was apprehensive about picking up the Max Factor Color Intensifying Balm due to the price. It's £8.99, for a balm! However I was a happy bunny after trying this as it has become my new everyday lip. I grabbed the Coral shade, which is perfect for spring, and it is surprisingly pigmented. It is more along the lines of the Revlon Lip Butters than a balm, and I have a sneaky suspicion these could be pretty similar to the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter Balms.
It's been pretty minimal on the makeup favourites this month, so I'm going to move on to a nail care item. The Micro Cell Nail Repair* is a nail treatment, base-coat hybrid, that seriously conditions and strengths your nails. I might have had a bit of a bitey moment while testing this, but other than them now being super short, the Nail Repair leaves them feeling supple and strong.
