Yves Rocher New In

25 April 2015

Yves Rocher is a completely new brand for me, so I was really excited to try out four products from their upcoming hair and body collection, including the exotic Monoï de Tahiti body range. I'm a massive fan of the brand aesthetics of Yves Rocher. They've tried their upmost to create products as natural as possible, free from nasties such as sulfates and parabens, and use recyclable materials in their packaging. More brands should take note!

The first in the Monoi de Tahiti range is the Lagoon Hair and Body Wash * (£3.20). This smelt beautiful as a shower gel, and definitely transported me to a luxury spa resort on a tropical Island. It was a huge bonus that this could be used a shampoo too, and it left my hair feeling soft and clean, as good as any standalone shampoo. Next we have the Monoï de Tahiti Precious Dry Oil* (£14.90). This is a tinted dry oil with delicate gold shimmer that just lends itself to accompanying a tan. It has the same beautiful scent as the body wash and I know it'll be a necessity for summer nights out, especially on holiday to make those limbs glow.

Moving onto hair care, and there's one product I fell for, and one that I didn't. Starting off on a high, I really enjoyed the Raspberry Rinsing Vinegar* (£11.30). This is a product I'd never come across before, although I was familiar with the age old idea of using vinegar to increase shine. And that's exactly what the Raspberry Rinsing Vinegar promises. "Restore ultra-shine to your hair with this raspberry vinegar formula with water softening and scale smoothing benefits." The scent is possibly my favourite thing about the product, a strong, yummy, fruity raspberry. It definitely does make my hair feel cleaner and shinier too, so winner all round.

A product that I couldn't quite make work is the Low Shampoo Delicate Cleansing Cream* (£6.90). I was so convinced that this would be perfect for me as I'd switched to reverse washing a while ago. However like a lot of products recently it made my hair feel really heavy and tacky. I really wanted to love this because I think the scent is beautiful, similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy! I'd just like to add that although the Low Shampoo Delicate Cleansing Cream wasn't right for me, it doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad product, and it may well suit you.

I've ended up loving three out of the four products, which I think is great for my introduction to Yves Rocher. I definitely think that their selling point is the scents of the products, as they are just so beautiful and luxurious. I didn't actually check out the prices until after using the products and I was surprised at how affordable they were. I'd definitely consider trying a few other Yves Rocher products, especially their body range which particular wowed me.

Have you tried any Yves Rocher products?
