The Everyday Lip Menu

14 April 2015

This is a post inspired by pulling out all the lip products from my handbag one day. If you're interested, there were seven, all in the same shade. Here's my everyday lip menu, three different MLBB shades. (That's "My Lips But Better" if you're confused!)

The first is a lipstick, and one of my absolute favourites at that. Revlon Pink In The Afternoon (£7.99) is the perfect mid-toned pink. Not too bright, not too pale. The formula is smooth and pigmented, a real one swipe wonder that leaves lips feeling hydrated. This is the product that made me really enjoy wearing lipstick for the first time, so I just had to share it!

L>R Revlon, NYC, Tanya Burr

Next up is a product made famous by one of our own, Tanya Burr. Picnic In The Park (£5.99) is one of her own favourite lip glosses, with good reason. On me it comes out brighter than in the tube, veering on the more coral side of things, which adds a certain vibrancy to your face. It really glams up a boring look to make you look polished and put together.

My final pick is from brand that doesn't get near enough attention as it deserves, and that is NYC, there are so many of their products that I really rate. The Cityproof Twistable Intense Lip Colour in Riverside Rose. has literally lived in my handbag since I bought it. It is a beautiful deep, almost plummy nude, in a lightweight, easy to wear balm. It's so easy to apply, so it's a great one for on the go when you don't have a mirror to hand.

What is your everyday lip product?

I love Tanya's lip glosses, but my ultimate favourites would have to be the NARS International velvet & my new addition - the bobbi brown bright pink!
