It's been a long time since I've posted a Song of the Week, but lately I've been really enjoying finding new music, so hopefully this feature should be here to stay in some way shape or form. This week's offering is from an artist (I think it is just one person, there isn't much info around at the moment!) called The Beach, very apt for the season. I found out about this artist via Tanya Burr's most recent favourites video and promptly went to check them out. The Beach very much has a James Bay/Hozier vibe and Thieves, my Song of the Week is a moody ode to love and loss with a stomping beat. Thieves also reminds me very much of a Tom Odell track, with it's soft opening building to a crescendo. Despite not being the most innovative artist of the moment, he takes the best aspects of some of my favourite artists and mashes them together for a killer combo.
