This month has seen some awesome beauty releases, with drugstore contour palettes, luxurious body care collections and face masks to boot. I've rounded up the best of those new releases, as well as some old favourites that I'm yet to get my hands on for this month's beauty wishlist. Roll on payday eh?
Top Row
A product that I've been umming and ahhing about for the entire summer is the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact (£30). Now that summer is nearly over, it is almost D-Day. The time has come to decide whether I really do need this beautiful matte bronzing palette. A combo of four shades make it ideal for a gentle bronze or a more intense glow, and fits the bill all year round. I guess I've almost persuaded myself right there...
Out of all the Origins products, their Original Skin range sounds like the most fitting to my needs. Tailored to women in their 20s (AKA moi), the Original Skin Retexturising Mask with Pink Clay (£23) targets not only pores that are having a moment, but dullness and rough skin too. Is this the new miracle mask?
Last summer, when I saw Fleur from Fleur de Force raving about the Britney Spears Island Fantasy EDT (£13.99), I vowed to pick it up the second I saw it. Fruity fragrances are right up my alley, and this has notes of watermelon, mandarin orange and red berries, and a floral heart of jasmine, freesia and violet. I'm not usually one to blind buy a fragrance, but this has had nothing but good praise, and we all know I'm not shy of using a summer scent all year round.
Although I could have easily compiled a wishlist just for The Body Shop's recent releases, on the top of my list are the African Ximenia Scrub (£18) and the Japanese Camellia Cream (£23) from the Spa of the World range. The supersize tubs are filled with luxurious natural oil-laden goodness to nourish the skin.
Bottom Row
Rose gold is still having its moment, and what could be more fabulous than incorporating it into the morning makeup routine. This Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set (£56.95) is seriously beautiful, and their brushes are rumoured to be of excellent quality. When I come to update my stash I'll be sure to add a bit of rose gold into the mix.
I cannot gush more about drugstore hot shot, Makeup Revolution. If anyone was going to dupe the infamous Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit, it would be our beloved Makeup Rev, and oh lord they have done good. Their Ultra Contour Palette (£8) is dupe-city and more, with the inclusion of two of their most popular baked highlighters. If you listen closely, you will hear squeals of excitement in the background. Sorry, not sorry.
I never ever use a hairdryer, so Bumble & Bumble's latest release, Don't Blow It (£23) is pretty hot on my radar. I never really got on with their Surf Spray, but I've got high hopes for this product, as it is said to enhance volume and texture whilst still being super lightweight.
Last but not least is a product that is somewhat of an institution. I've been meaning to pick up a new pair of eyelash curlers as mine are just a generic Boots brand. I've been loving the wide awake look curling the eyelashes gives, and what better way to do it than using the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers (£20).
