September Beauty Favourites Pink Cat Kawaii Bath Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake Pocket Bac

September has been a bit of a weird month. Technically autumn, it's been super chilly in the mornings so I've been piling on aaaallll the jumpers, but then in the afternoon it's been really sunny. What's that about? I've been on a bit of a spending ban, so I haven't been tempted to buy too many beauty bits.  Actually, that's a lie, I've still really been lusting after the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. And every other Charlotte Tilbury product. That's still allowed, right? Basically the weekly Superdrug hauls had to go...

My first beauty favourite is one that I bought and reviewed all the way back at the end of August. Ahh when summer was still a thing... Tanya Burr's recent additions to her beauty line are just lovely and the product I've been using the most this month is the Hollywood Eye Palette (£5.99). I've particularly been loving this for a neutral every day eye look, with Nude Delight all over the lid and a smidge of Bookworm blended into the crease. These shadows are so lovely to work with as they have lovely pigmentation and blend out really nicely.

I've only recently acquired the Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick in All About Cupcake (£2) but it has quickly become my latest lipstick obsession. It has a moisturising, balmy texture and adds a lovely subtle pop of peachy pink. I find this really finishes off a makeup look and is a nice alternative to a nude lip. I'm sure I'll be heading back to Wilko for a few more shades.

September Beauty Favourites Essie Nars Tanya Burr Essence

The most exciting beauty purchase of September came in the form of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla (£22, review). I think I've finally found my concealer love. True to its name, this has the most beautiful finish that you just don't find with drugstore concealers. I've been loving using this kind of all over to even out my skin tone on lazy makeup days. I have finally found a positive to my oily skin! I find this concealer melts in with my natural oils and leaves the most lovely skin-like finish.

The most perfect transitional autumn nail shade is In Stitches from Essie (£7.99, mentioned here). This is an on-trend marsala shade that makes a really nice alternative to a berry or classic red nail. This also lasted really well on my nails and will definitely be making a reappearance in the next week or so.
September Beauty Favourties Reve Hyalu InstaNatural Re:cipe Korome

I feel like I've been trialling so much skincare this month! One product that completely blew me away was the Dong Hae Water Moisture Cream* (£29.99) from Korean brand, Re:cipe. I'll be mentioning this product in more detail in an upcoming post, but what I will say is that it is gorgeously lightweight yet hydrating, and it leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and refined the next day. Seriously addictive stuff...

I reviewed some products from Italian skincare brand Reve Hyalu recently, but one I didn't get chance to feature in that post is the AY260 Hyaluronic Acid Serum*. I was instantly impressed at how soft this serum left my skin, and it has a really refreshing, lightweight gel texture. It also has a pleasant scent, like honey. EDIT Apparently it's rose, so I wasn't even close! This is the perfect serum to layer with a moisturiser as it isn't heavy in the slightest, but really adds that extra hydration, perfect as the weather gets colder.

Now one of the skincare products that I really get excited about it a good eye cream. I've been testing out two products from the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye range, and the one I've been getting the most out of is the Eye Gel* (£29.97) This is a gentle, cooling gel that smells of melons and really refreshes tired eyes. It contains fab ingredients like hyaluronic acid and cucumber extract to hydrate and awaken the eyes. Although it is pricey, it comes in a really generously sized hygenic bottle, which is so rare for eye products , I love that you can really slather it on without feeling too guilty that you're using half the pot. You can also use this cooling gel on your face too, so it is great if you are in need of a full-face refresh.
Finally moving on to body, and I only really have two products in this category. The first is Buffy* (£6.50), a solid body butter from Lush. I got this in a goodie bag from the Lush Leicester Summer Sneak Peek Event back at the start of August. This is a product I never would have chosen off my own back, but I've been so impressed with it. This is actually a solid scrub rather than a body butter, as it has ground rice, almonds and aduki bean exfoliants suspended in a cocoa and shea butter bar. I can see why it is named a body butter though, it leaves my skin feeling so moisturised, as if I'd slathered on a rich lotion post-bath. This is such a unique product, and the fact that it is a 2-in-1 scrub/moisturiser/general timesaver makes it a winner in my book.

My last favourite is quite an exciting one. I'd always heard great things about the Bath & Body Works Pocket Bacs, especially the autumnal scents, but I'd always thought that we weren't able to get hold of them in the UK. I came across the website Bath & Body Shop which stocks a small range of B&BW, along with a few other brands like Victoria Secret and Bomb Cosmetics. I picked up a few of the Pocket Bacs (£2.20), which are anti-bacterial hand gels, and my favourite scent had to be Pumpkin Cupcake. It is super sweet, with warm bakery notes and spice, and is the perfect cozy autumn scent. The scent lasts for such a long time on the hands, even after I've physically washed my hands, which is pretty amazing!

This cat is so cute right? I found him under my bed and just had to bring him out of hiding! October sees my 23rd birthday, so I'm hoping for a few new beauty goodies, like the Kendall Jenner/Estee Lauder collab if I can get my paws on it. Yes the pun was intentional... Autumn will be well and truly upon us by the time I'll be writing my next favourites post, so expect lots of berry lip action. Long live Rimmel 107!
