Winter Project Pan: Introduction

Winter Project Pan Introduction

I'm a bit of a hoarder, and even though I manage to do regular empties, I still don't finish products quite at the rate that I'm bringing them in. In a quest to lead a more minimalist lifestyle, I've decided to add Project Pan to my roster of posts. If you haven't heard of Project Pan, the idea is that you pick a selection of products that I want to use up before a certain date, and track your progress along the way. I've picked out 15 products that I want to finish (or make a decent dent into) before the end of February. I'll be doing an update post at the start of January, and then another, final update at the start of February, where hopefully I'll have finished all the products!

MAKEUP - EYES & LIPS

I got this product free with a magazine, and it's something that I use after my brow pencil/powder to set my brows. I can see the colour of the product going a bit murky, so I want to use it up as quick as possible as it's getting a bit gross. I don't think this is anything special as brow gels go, and it's expensive for what it is. There isn't really a way to see how much is left, but I want to use up as much as I can before the end of this project when I'll probably throw it away.

Makeup Revolution Awesome Double Flick Liquid Liner

I don't really wear a lot of eyeliner, and this is one of the oldest in my stash. I like the fact that it has a thick end and a thin end, although I use the thin side a lot more. It's really affordable, and quite easy to apply, I just don't do liquid eyeliner a lot so I don't use these up very quickly. Again, I won't be able to measure this one.

Moving onto lips, the first product that I'd like to use up is this Burt's Bees lip balm as I've had it way too long! I do like this, but my favourite is the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm so I've not really been reaching for any other ones. I completely forgot to photograph this!

I got this from a magazine and it's not really my favourite product, so I just want to use up the small amount I have left. I have shade 6 and I think the colour's a bit dark for me and it's not very precise to apply, but it's handy to have when I'm in a rush and don't want to use a powder and angled brush.

This was really hyped up as a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk liner, and whilst it's really creamy and nice to apply, the shade is a bit too pink for my liking. This snapped I think so I've barely got any left. I just want to use it up now.

Soap & Glory Gloss Stick in Nude-ist (review)

These Soap & Glory Gloss Sticks are actually really nice, although generally I prefer a matte or satin finish. This one has a really nice nude shade, but the packaging isn't the best. The lid comes off easily so I can't really carry it in my handbag.

MAKEUP - BASE & FACE

This concealer is so so hyped, and even though I've had about 5000000000 tubes of this in my time, I've never really loved it. I have found a few concealers that I really enjoy, so I want to use this one up and get it out of my collection. I can't seem to see how much of this I have left.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in C2 Rose Vanilla

I used to adore this foundation, but hadn't used it for a really long time. I've had this bottle for a bit too long, and I've actually bought the reformulated version in a different shade, so I thought I'd try and get a bit more use out of this one before I move onto the new bottle. It is a little bit dark for my skin, but I think I actually prefer this older formulation!

I don't really love this bronzer as much as everyone else seems to. I find it quite dusty and orangey. I got this mini size in a Benefit travel set, and thought I'd give it one last go. I'd like to at least hit pan, and then I'd be happy about giving up on it.

Topshop Desert Sun Cheek Duo

I remember buying this in uni and being obsessed with the smaller half, a shimmery golden bronzer (I know, cringe!). The remaining side is actually a really pretty everyday blush shade, a medium pink that isn't too bright. It's a baked product so I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to get through it, but I'd like to give it a good go! I've decided to mark the "pannage" with a Sharpie, although I'm not 100% sure it'll work!

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder

I used to really like this powder, and I did hit pan on it! I moved straight on to another powder, and this has sat unused in my collection for a while. I'd like to get my full use out of it as it was quite pricey for a powder, and I really like that it is so finely milled. I actually featured this in my 5 Ways To Set Your Makeup post, which you can read here.

SKINCARE

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask

I really like this mask, but I've had it for a really long time and it's starting to thicken up. I've haven't got that much left so I'd really like to concentrate on using it up. This has a lovely warming feel as you massage it into the skin, and it's really unique in my mask collection, however I want to use it up so I can start using some of my other masks.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

I used this quite a bit at first, but I haven't touched it for a while. I tended just to use it to refresh the skin on hot days, as it has a refreshing gel texture, rather than as an actual moisturiser. I've had this a while now, so I want to get a bit more use out of this before I get rid.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulée Hand Cream

I love this scent, and it came out in one of the Christmas ranges, however The Body Shop have never brought this scent back, which I'm really sad about. This hand cream is nice, but the lid has broken so sadly I'm going to have to use this up before it goes off!

BYS Nail Enamel in Coconut Ice Coco

Not really skincare, but I thought I'd throw this in here. This is a really pretty sheer pearly nail polish that I've had for years. I only have one or two uses left of this so I really want to try and finish it up. I think it'll be achievable!

Winter Project Pan Introduction Skincare

I'll be posting an update in one month's time, hopefully I'll have been able to make some progress and even finish a few of these products! EDIT: you can now find my project pan journey over on my YouTube channel.

Have you ever done a project pan?
