Brows for literally days..?

So I did a poll on Twitter, and it seems like loads of you love reading first impressions posts. I'd put these on the back-burner when I wanted my blog to be more of a curated selection of products that I genuinely recommend, but I missed writing about new-in beauty and there's no reason why I can't follow up on a post later on down the line if I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I thought I'd kick things off with a new-ish launch from Maybelline. When they announced the launch of their first 3-day brow tinting product, I had one thought: that looks darn familiar. It is a dead ringer for the Etude House Tint My Brows Gel, which I also own. When I used the Tint My Brows, I enjoyed the concept and found it very easy to use, but hadn't used it since. Despite being the perfect shade on the first day, it fades to a very warm-toned shade, and looks a bit odd on the brows if you don't have any other product on them. When Maybelline came out with their Tattoo Brow Tint* (aff), I had one wish and that was for it to be like Tint My Brows, without the red tones.
Did it live up to my expectations?
I would 100% recommend the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Tint (aff) if you do have a red tint to your hair and eyebrows, but for me especially having pale skin and cool-toned dark hair, the red tint was very noticeable. Maybe if you had tanned/dark skin you wouldn't notice it quite so much. I probably would still use it again, although I don't think it's something I would repurchase if I get to the end of it. That being said, I'm intrigued to see how many applications the tube contains as I feel like you have to apply quite a thick layer, and for £12.99 it's on the pricier side of drugstore makeup.
Would you try a peel-off brow tint?
- PR samples (*) are sent for consideration, which in no way alters my opinion of a product -
- Affiliate links (aff) mean I earn a very small commission (like literally pennies) if you choose to click through and purchase, without affecting the price you pay -
I think this would be a great at home tint product but I don't trust myself without accidently applying it too thickly and not being able to wash it off for days
