New on Net-a-Porter

20 February 2014

Runway designs may not be the most wearable, but Net-a-Porter is the destination for showcasing accessible and the more easy-to-wear designer pieces. Be one step ahead of the fash-pack and check out my new favourites from the site.

1) Bradi washed-leather jacket by Etoile Isabel Marant £705

This is a feminine take on the biker jacket for spring, in soft, supple leather. Wear with other neutral-coloured hues for a fresh look, brightened up with a swipe of bright pink lipstick.

2) Carpreena stretch-cady dress by Diane von Furstenberg £290

I am in love with both the colour and the shape of this shift dress. The figure-skimming cut flatters curves and provides a perfect work to play outfit.

3) L8001 stretch-leather skinny pants by J Brand £930

Every wardrobe needs a pair of leather pants, and these are no exception. Most interesting is the worn look, which would require making best friends with your washing machine to get a cheap pair of pants looking like this. Almost vintage-look, these leather pants do not skimp on detail, from the silver calf zips to the perfect ankle skimming length. I want these so badly!

4) Claudine stretch-cotton dress by RED Valentino £440

This is the perfect springtime dress, in off-white, based on a traditional tennis style. It has a peter pan collar, and a subtly accentuated waist, nipped in to then diverge into pleating. Pair with a chain bag and flats for a chic daytime combo. Keep hair off the shoulders to emphasise the collar, and add a pop of bright pink lipstick to finish the look.

Not even a picture this size justfies the intricacy and beauty of this Alexander McQueen gown.

5) Embellished crepe gown by Alexander McQueen £4,495

This is by far one of the most expensive pieces I have come across, and there is no denying it's a showstopper. This form-fitting gown has an open back, and copper embellishment on the shoulders. It's skirt flares out slightly at the bottom, giving a vintage feel, perfect for a big event.

6) Collarless linen coat by RED Valentino £595

Whilst nothing can quite top the splendour and extravagance of the previous look, I feel this adorable swing coat will have a place in everyone's hearts. My second offering from RED Valentino, modelled on the 1960's style, is reminiscent of the classic Chanel jacket, from the bow detailing at the collar and over-embossed pockets. I think this is perfect for spring, adding a cheeky, fun element to an outfit. Team with bare legs and pointed flats for a fresh edge.
