This post is actually a long time coming as I did my beauty box swap with Aria from All Souled Out back in December, and I'm sure you're all bored of hearing about it! Anyway, here's the point of the swap: beauty. Aria tried to include products I'm not able to get in the UK, and the obvious choice was Lakmé, apparently the only Indian drugstore brand worth buying. Some products were ones I'd asked for, and others were a surprise. I've already posted an unboxing, but here's a more detailed look at the beauty products she sent.
I'll start with the eye products. The one I'd had my eye on right from my first visit to the Lakmé website was the Gel Eyeliner in teal. This has a little brush in the lid, which is actually surprisingly good. Honestly this is the easiest eyeliner I have ever tried, and it is refreshing to have a colour other than black. Speaking of the colour, it is uber pigmented, and unlike anything I have in my collection. The way I like to wear this is as with simple flick and lashings of black mascara.
Aria had also sent me this Eyeshadow Duo to match the eyeliner. These shadows are gel infused, so they are seriously long lasting, and really blendable. I like to wear this kind of bright teal shadow in the summer with a tan (hopefully) and a peachy lip.
Now for the most exciting, the lip products. I'd mentioned to Aria that I was a fan of berry tones, and oh boy, she didn't disappoint! The first was a Lipstick, in hands down the most charming packaging I've ever seen! It also that closes with an extremely satisfying click. Inside it houses a gorgeous deep purple lip colour. This is something I was seriously happy about as the shade is so different to my existing lipsticks. The highly pigmented colour applies onto the lips so smoothly, with a formula most comparable to the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks. My fave way to wear this is on top of the Essence Lip Liner in Satin Mauve, a light plum shade for a more wearable look, or straight up for an edgy dark lip to rival Lorde.
Last bit not least, is the Lakmé Absolute Gloss Stylist in this pretty deep raspberry shade. I'd liken it to the shade of MAC Rebel. The day I unwrapped my beauty box I was headed out for a meal with some old friends, and was feeling super anxious, but one swipe of this creamy lip lacquer was enough to seriously cheer me up!
All in all, I'm pretty impressed with Lakmé. The black box packaging is reminiscent of MAC, and the whole brand almost reminds me of KIKO, although I'm not 100% sure why. I'd love it if this brand came to the UK as everything feels such fab quality. Thanks again Aria for my Indian beauty goodies!
I'm so glad you like it so much! I want to pick up the teal liner for myself but haven't had the time to. :)

I hadn't heard of this Lakme before, but it's not surprising as it's an Indian brand. The products looks gorgeous, especially that gloss. If ever I get the chance, I'll definitely pick up some of their products!
