This is a new monthly series, where I pick 5 bloggers to share their best advice and recommendations about various subjects. I'm kicking things off with one of my favourite activities, Me Time! It's really important to take the time out to look after yourself, and I'm guilty as the rest of us for not setting aside time for this. Need some suggestions? My 5 featured bloggers have it covered...
GOOD STUFF & CO BODY WASH
"Well, I have to say my number one product would be a really good body wash product that smells really great, since if I smell great I would also feel wonderful and that will definitely give me a spring in my step and I will feel fresh like a flower. At the moment I'm reviewing a product from Good Stuff & Co. It's a body wash called Coconut water & Lime Blossom. This body wash are part of a range products, but I'm not going to say much for now, watch for my post!"
Coconut and lime is one of my favourite scent combinations. For something more readily available in the UK, try the Somerset Toiletry Co Bath & Shower Gel (£5.95), via the Alzheimers UK website.
GIVE YOURSELF A MANICURE
"I have always loved nails and manicures because of the creativity it allows. At the moment I am enjoying using dotting tools and Barry M or Seventeen polishes to create striking nail art. I always feel so pampered and relaxed after a mani."
HOT BATH, HOT CHOCOLATE & OILS
RECOMMENDED BY CHARLOTTE FROM DISCOVERING CHARLOTTE
"Well my pamper night is simple. Hot bath, hot chocolate and oils! Nothing feels more luxurious than oils. I put the Weleda Lavender Bath Oil in the bath and then massage my face with the No7 Beautiful Skin Oil and then massage my skin with the one of the lush massage bars (my favourite being the Shade of Earl Grey) and if I am lucky I'll get a shoulder massage too!"
RELAXING ISLAND SOUNDS
RECOMMENDED BY CHARLOTTE FROM THE RIFF RAFF
"My pamper night essential is a good playlist to set a relaxing vibe, and my first choice is always Bob Marley's Legend album - there's something about the island sound that helps me unwind!"
TREATING YOURSELF TO A BIT OF LUXURY
"As a busy mum of 2 under 3, pamper nights are few and far between! But when they do happen, I do it in style. First I clear the bath of toys, add some Epsom salts to the bath, pop on a hair mask, wrap my hair in a warm towel, exfoliate my face, put on a face mask, pour myself a glass of wine, put the iPad on with relaxing music and sink into my hot bath. After, nails get files, oiled and I cover myself in my expensive body oil!"
As for me, my perfect pamper would consist of a long, lazy bath with a good book and a Lush bath bomb or Aromatherapy Associates bath oil. I'd then pop on a Korean sheet mask (I'm currently loving some from Tony Moly) and snuggle up under the duvet with some shows on Netflix. I hope this has given you some ideas for your own pamper evening, and don't forget to check out these lovely bloggers if you're on the lookout to add some new reads to your blogroll.
