My Jolie Candle are a relatively new home fragrance brand from Paris. Founded by two young frenchmen (ooh la la!), banker Samuel and creative diamond broker Victor, they together came up with the My Jolie Candle concept. The aim? To make women smile by proposing an inexpensive but exciting gift. The gift in question is a gorgeously fragranced candle, each containing a little jewellery surprise.
There are currently ten scents available, from classic Rose to tropical Monoi, all developed in Grasse, the fragrance epicentre of the world. Each scent comes with a different design on the label, and I absolutely fell in love with the pop-art style lips motif on the Cherry Blossom candle* (from £19.90) , as well as it being the perfect spring appropriate scent. My Jolie Candle sent over the most gorgeous package, complete with macaróns, glitter and an extra Cherry Blossom candle for one lucky reader. Keep reading for details on how to enter!
The scent of the cherry blossom is gorgeous. It really reminds me of the Chloe Love Story perfume (review here), and is very reminiscent of Paris in the spring time. The candles are made with vegetable wax, which usually doesn't produce as good a scent as traditional paraffin wax, but this candle is really strongly fragranced. However being natural wax, it didn't quite withstand shipping temperatures as well as traditional wax, so I did find that I had to clean up my jar a little before photographing, but that's nothing a good once over with a tissue can't fix.
The candles, which burn for 35 hours, remind me a lot of Diptyque by the design. I think the labels are very contemporary with the graphic prints and typography-style logo. The packaging of the Cherry Blossom candle is so pretty and girlie, so this has been living on my dressing table. I can imagine wanting to use the jar for my brushes once the candle is empty too.

The pieces are silver, and made with Swarovski crystals. Each piece has a minimum commercial value of £20, however a certain number of the pieces are made with white gold and diamonds, with values of £200, £1000 or even £5000. It is completely pot luck which piece of jewellery you could get!
I chose a bracelet, as I usually struggle getting rings to fit my child-size fingers. It was super-exciting when I could see the little foil packet poking through the wax, and when I finally pulled it out, I unwrapped the most gorgeous dainty silver chain with a bow. Although it doesn't appear to be real gold or diamond-encrusted (there is a guide on the website that helps you work out the value), I'm really happy with my bracelet as it something I would genuinely wear. I love it!
As I mentioned before, the lovely people at My Jolie Candle sent over an extra candle so I can share the love. One winner will receive one Cherry Blossom bracelet candle, the same as featured in the review except who knows what kind of bracelet will be in there! There are a variety of entry methods, some mandatory and some extra, as outlined in the Rafflecopter widget below:
