PURE Spa & Beauty Skincare Range

PURE Spa & Beauty is a chain of beauty salons in Scotland, which makes me want to CRY that I live in England, but now they have launched their own capsule collection of skincare products that has had me obsessed from the word go. I feel like I'm getting ever so slightly spammy featuring them in every single blog post/video/vlog, but I'm not even sorry.

The PURE skincare range is a beautiful collection of natural products that are formulated with botanicals, and aromatherapy oils to create a feeling of mindfulness as well as protecting and rejuvenating the skin, as the brand has skin health as a priority. There is very much a fuss-free approach to skincare, as the cleanser, toner and eye products are all universal, and there is a choice of facial oils depending on your skin type.

Starting off the routine with the cleanser, and this is the one product in the range I unfortunately didn't get on with. The PURE Clean & Glow Cleansing Oil* (£22) is formulated with jojoba oil, which melts away dirt and makeup. It also nourishes dry skin and balances out excess oil. Vitamin E is an antioxidant which counteracts the effects of free-radicals in polluted air, and Neroli gives the product an uplifting, spa-like scent. For me, although I found it removed makeup well, I found the oil base heavy and I found it hard to wash off.

One of the products that I did instantly love was the PURE Refresh & Revive Face Spritz* (£14.50). I've never been the biggest fan of spray toners but this one I adore. It contains peppermint so it gives it the most amazing cooling quality, and it is perfect for those warm summer days. It is also alcohol-free and contains aloe which means it doesn't dry out the skin like a lot of toners.

Recently I've been in a bit of a limbo with my eye cream, and I just haven't enjoyed anything I've been using since I switched from my Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream. I loved the thick texture, and I never in a million years thought an eye serum would be my kind of thing. The PURE Regenerate & Boost Eye Serum* (£34.50) has more of an oil texture and one drop goes a long way so the bottle will last a long time. It argan oil to rehydrate dry eyes and retinyl (Vitamin A), a skin-friendly form of retinol, which increases the reproduction rate of skin cells and plumps the skin. The product can also be used as a face serum too, making a great space multi-use product for travel.

Finally in the routine are the facial oils. The first is the Regulate & Clear Facial Oil* (£32) and the one that I can't stop raving about. This is a lightweight dry oil formulated with kukui nut oil and is suitable for oily and combination skin. The thing that sealed the deal for me is the scent. It contains ylang ylang which is so relaxing, so it makes it perfect to apply in the evenings. In fact, I actually included it in my 5 Rituals for a Better Sleep post.

For me, the Regulate & Clear isn't quite hydrating enough as my skin is leaning towards the drier side of combination these days. I like to mix this with the Hydrate & Renew Facial Oil* (£32) which is formulated for dry skin. This one has a nourishing base with Macademia, Sesame, Calendula, Safflower and Jojoba Oils to name a few. Frankincense renews the skin and aids relaxation and rose balances the skin and reduces redness. I love having both oils because I can adjust the amount of each one depending on the time of the year.

The PURE skincare line is beautiful. It's simplistic, whilst being luxurious at the same time. I'd liken the range, oils in particular, to the likes of Clarins, in terms of price and quality. I've not been seriously obsessed with a single skincare product, let alone a whole range for a seriously long time, so I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the market for natural, effective skincare.
